Things to do
On the music course you will enjoy a good balance of music and free time.
Music - Rehearsals are 9.15am-12.30pm and 2pm-5.30pm with breaks and optional rehearsals for different groups from 6.30pm. Please go to the ensembles page for more details.
Free Time – There is plenty to do in your free time. Please bring your own games and entertainment to share with your friends! Free time highlights include:
Resident and Non-Resident Students
Residents stay on site with us for the week. Girl residents stay in a purpose built boarding complex (pictured). Boy residents enjoy dormitory accommodation in the main school building which is all very comfortable and well equipped.
Non-residents join us for the day and have access to the facilities. Meals are served in the School dining room. Resident students enjoy full board, non-residents are given lunch and invited to stay for supper. The quality of the food is one of many music course highlights!
All our ensemble leaders are professional musicians and conductors have a great deal of experience in working with young people.
All of our supervisors have previous experience of the course and most are heads of music departments in schools or have teaching qualifications. Most attended the course as students.
